So I have an Uncharted 4 CD that I got from a friend, he's completed it like 3 years ago and the disc is kinda scratched and the game always gives me the "Disc cannot be read" error midgame like 20 mins into the game

So I wanna try fixing it cuz I really want to complete that game, I got platinum on Uncharted 2 and 3 last Summer man

I saw some youtube tutorials and web guides on how to clean/fix ps4 discs but I don't wanna experiment with something unless proven efficient because it's still his property and it's one thing to return a scratched disc and another to return a scratched disc that got toothpaste all over it
So has anyone here ever fixed a disc before and the game worked?

Why even bother.Just buy a new copy.Its like 5 bucks

Rub toothpaste along the scratch, let it dry and insert it into your console. Did this for my GTA 4 disc on Xbox 360 and it worked My console got the Red Ring of Death shortly after (unrelated)

Use WD40, I fixed a completely broken disc on my 360 this way. Not sure if it works for blu ray tho

By completely broken I mean it had the entire ring scratch on the outside

Is it a specific a toothpaste? The one I got rn is a red strawberry flavored toothpaste and all the videos got a white one lol
