It might honestly be too much of a depressing mindfuck right now, but End of Evangelion is the best apocalyptic movie I've ever watched.

Tried watching the boy and his dog yesterday, but the dog talking throws me off everytime idk why.

Production history: the nature of the film is tight low budget though. There's no way in 1975 if you make the dog talk as the original story is told. So, that can never anger the author so bad. They had to do it what they can.
