He and his wife are still supporters, he stated several times he donated to Obama and Hillary campaigns but were disappointed with their lack of real plans for the black community which was harmful in his eyes because of how blindly black supported them

It was clear his politics never aligned and now it isnt 2018 anymore and people are starting to see the real life danger of trump in their material lives w all the crazy s*** happening (undocumented folk felt it since day 1) and im sure it’s too much of a clash for his personal beliefs and he cnt justify it anymore (whether it was for headlines or genuine contrarianism) so now he’s trying to make an excuse for it
