just that it will use less because the security and backup model will be less complex

expensive hard drives 40 years ago held KB/s of data lmao, things change rapidly overtime

Proof of Work blockchains will fad away outside of Bitcoin, they already have beside a few cryptos and Proof of Stake chains will become far larger than Bitcoin ever can

Proof of Stake is more secure for smaller networks, 99% of new projects that are started today use it or will be using in the next year

Proof of Stake is better tech with better transaction and scalability metrics so it will incentives people's greed to create the largest network possible

I agree wireless tech will get better and is the future but if Apple switched to it today they'd claim it was to save the environment when it wastes some amount of energy and isn't as good for the battery

If they cared so much about the environment why don't they screw some of their battery's into their devices instead of glue them in? or refuse to change to USBC on their phones so much ewaste but at least Apple is the only person that can sell you a new device or an overpriced replacement battery

don't get me wrong all the smartphone/ultrabook companies do it now at the high end but Apple the saviors of the environment started a lot of terrible trends
