Apr 29, 2021Qobuz streams in lossless,uncompressed 24 Bit/192KHZ and you can download whole albums in that quality if available. CD Quality is their lowest quality which is like 16 Bit/44.1KHZ. I wonder if Apple is gonna try and compete with that standard?

I say the same with Tidal tbh, the people this appeals too most likely still downloads music for best and most consistent sound quality and the amount of people that does use this is such a small niche I don't even think it's worth the effort.
The people who really care about audio quality are still on private trackers downloading everything up and buying physical when available.

Apr 29, 2021honest question. how is apple music nowadays. I moved back to spotify to find new music and get Hulu for free with the student bundle. Back then apple music was clean but their new music recommendation was ass and apple tv sucked.

yeah but Spotify isn't into hardware much. Apple wants to force you to have apple everything which is a smart business move when you make as many products as them. If Spotify was making speakers and s*** they'd probably go make it harder to stream to different devices

Interesting, the Apple AirPods max only accept 256kbps AAC at which point it’s computationally tuned. Anything bigger than 256 gets down scaled before conversion anyway.
I guess this will be marketed at non AirPod max users or possibly hint at an Apple studio headphone
