its great esp with apple devices
you can simply put your own music on the desktop music app and it'll appear on all your devices as if they're streaming songs. limit is like 100,000 songs too you can upload to the cloud
i noticed that when i was listening to act 2, it was in apple music even tho i dont have it
that sounds great, i can finally build playlists with unreleased s*** that isnt on streaming services
Will the animated covers just be for streaming? Or can they be added to albums bought from the store?
in what way do you think it will change?
i think its gonna become a much more dynamic, interactive experience whereas rn we're still in this weird transition from itunes/cds etc to dsps
i think artists gonna have much more direct creative control, they'll be able to include alt versions of songs, alt covers that listeners can choose from, b-sides folders within albums vs this 30 song album deluxe trend
albums, eps, mixtapes are kinda intermingled now so i feel like project formats are gonna change eventually, today everyone is dropping any collection of songs as an "album"
somehow song credits being included still isnt the standard lol, producers/engineers gonna have their own pages that link up to the albums/songs they worked on
at some point these companies will start making progress with the way we actually consume the audio too ie support.tidal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002767377-360-Reality-Audio
the way we consume music is gonna drastically change in the next 10 years but for whatever reason these dsps are so f***ing slow at innovating
How do you see it changing in next 10 years?
That’s cool, but can we get the colorful backgrounds that coordinated with the album covers?
And can the album cover be bigger than 3 inches on the lock screen? I miss when I could look at the cover on the lock screen
Pretty sure on the latest version the background colours do match the album cover art
Also yeah I miss the full artwork in the lock screen
I had Tidal in 2016
AM 2017-2018
Spotify 2018-2020
For the upcoming season I decided to take my talents to Youtube premium
Doesn’t Spotify do something similar already?
Yeah idk why Apple users are getting such hard d***s over this
