And yea I was downloading p***os that were Google Cardboard compatible. What of it?!
Me and the homie had cardboard strapped to our face in 2014 what y’all know about that?
i used to strap that s*** to my face and search trippy ass 360 videos on yt to listen to watch while listening to music in my room
They have our data, our voice, our desires, now they have our likeness and soon theyll have access to our daily POV.
They will create a world and sell it back to us

Will I Am type beats
remember when airpods max were considered niche and ridiculously expensive that first year and now they’re literally everywhere?
remember the memes on the OG airpods?
remember how much people hated on a watch where you could “just pull your phone out to do the same thing?”
remember when people said “why would I want a bigger version of what my iPhone already does” when the iPad was announced
Meta, Google, Samsung, whoever could release a $300 version of this with 2 times better specs and we would get nowhere. People underestimate how many people will try this and eventually buy just bc of Apple’s branding and legacy. This will be the catalyst for mass AR adoption. 10 years from now, we might even see these become as small as a pair of glasses. In the next few years, I can see this being a disruptor in the traditional desktop computer space, but AR will dominate and eventually overtake the mobile industry by the 30’s
i could see this following an apple watch or airpods max trajectory. thing is though, people like to forecast ready player one levels of adoption where practically everyone's got it. I still think apple watches and airpods max are kinda rare, and I'd expect the vr headset to be similarly as rare. who knows tho
conspiracy:
airpods max are heavy asf and expensive asf on purpose. apple was getting its big spender customers ready for the weight and price of the VR.
to someone who's been using the airpods max, the heaviness of the headset won't be as noticeable because they're used to weight on their head. to someone who spent $550 on headphones, $3500 on a VR doesn't seem as outrageous.
Its cool but i dont see this having appeal outside of niche markets for at least another 4-5 years, probably longer.
Definitely something i can see being used by concept designers, engineers, and coastal elite private sector type people in the next 5 years, but everday people who dont have any reason to use it right now

The people will vote with their dollars and usage time. Just like with every other high quality product/content originally ridiculed by the loud minority + know-it-alls that has proceeded to be woven into everyday life for the rest of society.

“In 2 years everyone gonna be wearing one on their face 24/7, even in public, instead of using their smart phone”
