This announcement is odd because filming wrapped on this a few weeks ago but I guess they're going into full post-production now. There's a lot of VFX work to be done in this so this is probably at least a year away from being released.

I thought the book's strengths were its hacker prose. They aren't going to do anything that interesting formally with this. And that's on top of Paramount and Drake being involved. Think I'll pass.

Curious if the Blade Runner show they buried will counter program this. I unfortunately do want to watch that one. Will probably be worse!

If you think Paramount and Drake have any sort of direct involvement in this other than being producers/distributors then you’re overthinking it waaaay too much.

Confidence in this will stem from it being on Apple which has the best track record by far among streamers for sci-fi television + the showrunner being responsible for one of the most underrated tv shows of the 2020’s
