It’s definitely them, IGN was also blind with their review as well, s*** read like a hit piece, I don’t really see how anyone could have an issue with this game tbh it can obviously improve in some areas me but a low score is insane

4 million copies sold is CRAZY for an extraction shooter
Most of the gaming community was disappointed over its genre shift from being a PvE looter shooter to transforming into a PvPvE extraction game.
Embark took a massive risk pulling this move after the positive buzz for the game’s initial public reveal when it was only PvE, and it actually paid off in the end.

I been inside the Harvester twice and I was running around like a headless chicken. I have to check out a guide or something cus I didn't know what to do in there.

Nah, I was planning to do it solo and midway through a random guy joined in and we did it together but I would've been fine regardless. I got pretty close. I was with 2 randoms and walked then through. They died and aggro'd the queen. Sp i did almost everything myself. I was so close. I had like two of those yellow cameras left.

This is without a doubt going in my top 3 games of the 2025. There were a ton of amazing games that dropped this year but the enjoyment I’m having with this game is unparalleled. Embark knocked it out of the park and it’s no surprise especially with how amazing The Finals is.

The Finals was (and still is) one of the most fun competitive shooter experiences I’ve had since peak Warzone in 2020. Crazy how that was Embark’s first game and they came out swinging.

Dayz was cool as a concept but also I found it boring upon playing. Arc raiders is the complete opposite of boring tbh

The intensity between Arc and other players keeps you on edge the entire match. The sound design and overall atmosphere is 10/10 which really gets you sucked in, the gameplay is also cinematic af in the best way possible, encounters can be scary af because of the stakes etc. it’s just a really well executed game

tlou factions is the closest thing to this game, so if you liked that then you’ll like this. Try it bro

Everyone complained about how stale COD has gotten and when a refreshing take on the FPS genre comes around and executes its concepts & ideas beautifully, they try it for a few minutes and come up with this verdict:

I randomly recommended to my boys that we download The Finals so we could try it out. We were so tired of playing Overwatch and Rocket League that we were just looking for any new game. It’s now our main game that we play together lol.
