It depends if you play solo or team up with friends or strangers.

Most of the time in solo raids you are just walking/running from point A to point B (or aimlessly if you wanna explore freely) to gather loot over and over. The goal is to acquire rare loot such as rare weapons & tools and blueprints to craft things while evading or defeating the ARC robot enemies or sometimes other players.

I’ve never played with teams of 3 or 2 so I can’t really tell you what that’s like, but I heard they lean way more on the PvP side, while solos can be a friendly paradise as long as you don’t shoot other players lol, but sometimes you will encounter PvP even in solos.

The beauty of the game lies in the interactions with other players (mostly in solo, speaking from my experience); whether you team up with them to defeat the robots and extract successfully together while communicating in proximity chat or engage in PvP to steal their loot or take out a troublemaker. The extraction gameplay aspect gives such a sense of thrill that it keeps you going back for more.

So yeah, basically, your mileage may vary when it comes to your experience with this game because it’s about realizing your own story and making memorable moments with other players imo (like reviving a downed player and teaming up with them for example).

You can avoid sweats as long as you go in solo and don’t shoot other players (unless they shot at you first) cus apparently the game does keep track of your in-game behaviour and will match you with other players who play similarly as you do.

Yeah for first timers, seeing all these different loot can be overwhelming, but with time it’ll all make sense

It definitely helps knowing what the robots’ weaknesses & behaviours are cus they can definitely be a nuisance, even for experienced players.

I have 35 hours logged in ARC according to the PlayStation app and legit I’ve only shot another player ONCE Idk how’s that even possible lmao

From my experience, all the players who have shot at me were PS5 players while crossplay matches with PC players have always been friendly

This is the best multiplayer game we’ve had in well over a decade. It’s highly addicting and brings back the mw2/halo 3 days imo

Yes there are occasional sweats but it’s not to the point that it would ruin your fun. Also, I do believe you are matched with people who are within your skill range anyways
