I think s/t and Xen will probably remain my favs because they got more of that immersive world-building kinda sound (and this is just a tad bit too "pop" for me too) but it's great to see Arca go so bold and proud instead of mournful

ehh i think arca from the start has been pop straight up and the more 'abrasive' elements have just been her 'bold and proud' seeping through those 'abrasive' sounds which still fundamentally retain pop elements - xen i felt was an extremely depressing project coming to terms w various career n personal things but this feels like a full realisation of all of that

It's so good. It's for sure her most accessible work to date.

Definitely accessible compared to her other work and I can tell off the 6-7 songs I’ve heard that it’s not as good as self titled for me but enjoying it a lot

between Afterwards and KLK is my fav song
