Wayne will never be in prime mode again, that’s unreasonable to expect, but he had plenty of songs on C5 that were as good in every way as his greatest music. He’s just done so many songs I feel like he uses different flows to keep it interesting, but he can turn on that bic flick flow whenever he wants.

Tbh we need a Drizzy and Weezy collab album at some point. It would be such a shame if that never happened.

I think wayne could sound great in this era. But it’s only one way. He gotta take notes from jay Z. Wayne gotta pull a 4:44 type album. And he has it in him. If we want wayne back in prime mode or in the conversation for the 20s we gon need strictly C2 wayne.

I disagree. When I say hell never be in prime mode I mean we can never get back that godlike run he had, because it’s just not reasonable to expect any artist to reach that type of sustained peak again.

I do agree that a 4:44 type of album could work, in theory, mainly from the POV of just getting him in a room with a producer who understands ALL his talents (not just C2 era) and provide him with the sparse instrumentals he’s always excelled on. Someone to really guide his voice, let him get freewheeling, and reign in the subject matter for a cohesive album. A project like this could still have room for auto tune and really out there flows and voices.

In my opinion C5 got really close for about half the album.

I think one of Wayne’s problems is he’s worked, from what I understand, with such a small circle for so long. There’s gotta be some young genius producer who grew up on his music that would do an amazing job. They just need to lock in for a month and create a classic. The thing with Wayne is I know he always has it in him, he just needs the right team.

Oh yea I totally agree that he won’t get to THAT prime mode again but I meant he could still be a top tier artist going into the 20s. Like I feel he can reach up to the top again but not like 05-08 era. And it’s yea bro the point you made about being around the right producer and circle I complete agree on that aswell. And in my opinion I feel the only person who could guide Wayne on that right path and have him sounding amazing in this era would be Tyler the creator. Smuckers and Wayne’s verse on flower boy are the closest I’ve seen someone making Wayne sound so great and not dated but at the same time you like damn Wayne sound like he in 08 on these beats. I think if Tyler or someone had Tyler just around Wayne that would be a start to getting him on the right track. Idk if you have heard those 2 songs that Wayne had Tyler on but out of all the s*** that Wayne has made 2014 and up. Those songs are easily the best I’ve heard far as sound and quality for Wayne

I've actually had the same thought, Tyler would be an amazing EP for Wayne.
