so looking at what french did with his latest album I actually can see this becoming a trend, not just for streaming purposes but also for content claim reasons—drop the sped up version ahead of time so you can claim that content on tiktok before a fanmade version goes viral. is it connected to the UMG/TikTok beef and the expectation that claiming content will lead to more $ in the future? can spotify make it look better in the future if more people do this?
or is it just an empty ploy for streams?
you should make 5 versions of this video and see how well it does
The French Montana Situation (Slowed + Reverb)
Sza just did
Well not her whole page but dropped a single along with 4 other different versions of the single
good idea wrong artist. also acapella is so damn unnecessary
could lead to hilarious edm mixes
Funny that it was French to do it first but the whole thing signals very dark times ahead. Blatantly trying to game the streaming system is for sure gonna become a normal practice for other artists in his bracket popularity wise

bout to make a smooth jazz album with his vocals tbh

this is lowkey genius... build that catalog, cover all the bases for social media... he's taking the W regardless
great video as always dude. you playing any shows in NY soon?
I honestly give it five years before the majority of releases from low to mid popularity (signed) artists are clusterfucks like this probably with a bunch of dumb AI s*** thrown in bc why not.
Just nonsense designed to produce maximum impressions/streams with as little effort as possible. Not even talking about making easy s*** ppl find catchy or something but just playing a pure probability/numbers game with how streaming services pay out by releasing a f*** ton of tracks at once.
Rap has already been playing with this idea since every major release is like 22+ songs now but with gimmicks like this, I feel confident saying French Montana's Mac & Cheese 5 is the beginning of the end of rap music and potentially music in general (haven't listened yet btw)
Just put them in an EP pack like ye did
bro just learned how to upload to Distrokid on his own
give him until next release cycle
He is an innovator so probably
hope u caught all the flowers i gave french in this video lmao i wasnt just roasting him hes a legend
