nigga said tv off you coulda been more on point with squabba up!
Nah
Its 3 massive hits vs just a hit song
song that came out last year vs song that came out almost 20 years ago
Whattheytalmbout
a millie would slap harder than kendricks whole set
followed by 6 foot 7 foot
right into we waking over
finishing with let the beat build
culture missed out on one
Im trying to see something right quick...
No
But it’s kinda weird to compare a pop smash like Lollipop to a diss track
A Milli is a once in a generation type track fr
Even if a song does more numbers, it’s not likely to have the same or similar impact on rap and youth culture

Maybe if prime Wayne was performing, but he wouldn't be.

wanye has wayyyy bigger/memorable bangers than this
Elaborate
I felt the impact A Milli had. Everyone wanted to remix that song but we all knew Wayne’s version by heart. It was like the main single from his most successful album.
I’m not tuned in enough anymore to know but by todays standards Not Like Us is a massive song idk about turn the tv off is it doing really good rn?

Tv Off is obviously not as big as those other songs ATM but I'm projecting into the future.
NLU is the biggest rap song oat
Lose Yourself, In Da Club, California Love, and Juicy alone >>
Hell, even Humble >
Yall have recency bias.
NLU and Lollipop is a tricky match up while A Milli is easily bigger than TV Off.
Lollipop was a huge record and the biggest rap song of 08 and it's Diamond. It also sold more than 5 million ringtones.
That said, A Milli was the more iconic song from C3 that defined Wayne more.
NLU was the biggest rap song of 2024 and has the fastest success rate in the streaming age. It also is a very definitive song for Kendrick, like a victory lap of sorts. And it's hook and many of it's bars are very quotable even though Lollipop gets quoted too.
It makes you wonder how fast Lollipop would sell if it dropped in the streaming age.
