sfsorrowHas anyone seen a death grips show and not enjoyed themselves? I’ve seen them twice and it’s better than any other concert experience i’ve had. The music comes alive and you get a full picture of what it really is and what’s going on.

i think i like their work after the powers that b more than their work before tho cause thats when i got into them. money store and no love deep web are dope but i dont listen to em as much as their newer stuff
but yeah same. i cant say they got better or worse. i do have favs but they shift constantly, and they always kept the high quality throughout their career. its unusual for me to say that about a band/artist but death grips reallly one of a kind
cant even imagine hating them when they never fail to make great music while always doing some crazy unique cutting edge s*** so naturally. never comes off as forced
ayyy i feel the same man. i think they’ve really hit their stride post breakup but everything holds up. i also feel like a lot of the concepts of those earlier projects were taken to a whole new level from gov plates on. I love exmilitary in a new way as i’ve gotten older but i definitely play their newer stuff more. Maybe i overplayed money store / nldw when i was young but i remember Birds coming out as a single and being obsessed with it in a whole different way.
After steroids/snitch, i can’t imagine where theyre going. I’m really glad we know from nick reinhart who did the guitars on jenny death and bottomless pit that he was recording new material with them last year, cus I always feel like their last release could be their last.

Only thing different is 100gecs is actual garbage and Death Grips is great.
