only for record labels, it’s a sign of marketability

    Most goats have quotables

    Jay
    Big
    Nas
    Pac
    Drake

    Etc

Kendrick I see as a goat but he’s one of a couple who are weak in that department. If Lupe a goat he’s also be on that department weak on quotables but still a strong lyricist. Lines just stick so much

For rappers yes...it's also impossible for a rapper termed as the goat to not have some good quotables

Although it is still a good thing to have memorable lyrics. That’s more important than just quotable

    you can literally quote anything
different lyrics resonate with different people
or are we talking about "meme" quotes?

Who actually quantifies “quotables”? Anyone with a running tally of how many “quotables” an artist has should be lobotomized

I'm talking about iconic lines that many have repeated time and time again

    "I got 99 problems but a b**** aint one"

"Started from the bottom now we here"

    "That's why I f***ed yo b**** you fat motherfucker"
