I hope you meant 12am -9pm
Even then idk about those hours but idk u either that might be right for u
Does the job offer you a permanent position, pending if you do well during the temporary role? If so, I would def take the job. Just do well there & you’ll get hired on full time.
Also, $20/hr is nothing to sneeze at either, I’d ask the temp agency about how long it will last (so you can prepare for worst case scenario & know when you’re time may be up)
If it’s For 6+ months work, def take it man @op
There’s a temp agency offering me a job paying $20 an hour to log COVID samples into the computer. The hours are from 12 am - 9 am and I’m honestly considering taking the job.
Right now I only work part-time on the weekends and I graduated from my CC, so I’m not doing anything during the night. However, temp agency jobs aren’t guaranteed and can end at any moment. I will be going to UVA next fall so I have a good bit of time on my hands. I love working but I just don’t know which other jobs to apply to.
Should I take the job or Nah? And if not do you guys have any ideas for decent jobs paying a decent amount right now? I know a lot of people are going to be living for work once that unemployment ends in early September lol.
Are you above working a cook job? I started at $17 barely any experience essentially none. I’m getting a raise real soon because I just show that enthusiasm that I want to learn not just work. S*** is fire I’m making breesh. Only if you can handle high volume s*** it is intense
Or is this set in stone as far as the type of job
easiest 20/hr you'll ever make even with the s***ty hours. could even pivot that experience into an internship since you are a college student.

Bro why would it be a 21 hour shift lol

Obviously I was just pointing the typo out lol

I think his is right? I think you made the typo lol.
Yeah, automate that s*** and you're set

I’ve never been much of a cook but I’m willing to try, you know? I feel like the intensity would get to me though. At this point I’m willing to try anything.
Sounds boring as f*** tho. Wouldn’t be able to stay up working overnights doing repetitive bull s***.

It’s only temporary but that pay is sounding nice. My last temp job lasted for 6 months so I’m hoping this will be the same.

No it’s from 12am - 9am. I’m going to have to change my sleep schedule.

Lunch is at 3am
do it bro. If its unsupervised you could prob get away with watching movies or doing whatever you want most of the time
Kinda hard to say no to a job you gonna be at temporarily that pays $20/hr. S*** paying better than a lot of full time jobs out there rn.

only do that s*** short term. It’ll take its toll on you eventually.
It's up to you and your situation at the end of the day. $20 is good money depending on where you're at but from my exp temp agencies are awful so just watch your back.

You have to work somewhere where your coworkers know what they’re doing, easier said than done. There’s always gonna be that one guy who’s an a****** but they end up getting fired. Like I said the intensity isn’t that bad if you have everything you need like say if your in the salads section you have to have your veggies/dressings ready so that when it gets busy you’re not running around finding s***. At that point it truly turns into an assembly line and second nature, repetition

I mean I worked overnights before, but it was at Target. I was up on my feet running around and that wasn't too bad, but when you had to clock out for lunch at 4 am it felt like hitting a wall.

I got some more details about the job
I will be dealing directly with covid bloodwork, some of the samples arrive opened and exposed to workers.
Many of the workers have became infected with covid after dealing with the samples.
Literally what is the drawback in taking it? I be so confused by some of y'all questions lol.
Then why do you answer them?
