Drakes music is relatable. He sneaks in incredible bars. He has a wide variety of styles to enjoy for different moods. He’s put me on to different artists and genres. And he’s a hometown celebrity who has stayed relatively relatable even as he’s grown.

I actually agree I think gambino is better musically but he’s absolutely not as talented as Drake would be overall.

Is talent one specific aspect or the overall ability?

For me, it’s a few things:

1. Versatility. He has crazy range in sounds, genres, styles, and moods. There are really not many artists who can hold a flame to drake’s catalogue.

2. Emotion. As a lovesick, hopeless romantic, drake’s infatuation, obsession, and anxiety with women has always resonated with me.

3. Relatability. Maybe not so much anymore, but early on, Drake seemed like a super down to earth, relatable guy. Obviously, never met him, but he seems like a really nice guy and most people who have worked with or been around him say as much.

4. Success/Talent. Drake’s story is crazy and his success is a testament to his hard work and talent. It’s motivational and inspiring. As a fan, rooting for someone who you believe in at the top is a great feeling. You feel like you’re a part of all of the accomplishments, celebrations, milestones, etc. (just like rooting for a sports team or athlete).

5. Nostalgia. Drake’s peak songs, albums, moments (for me) take me back to a different time in life and I’ll always value and cherish the memories that I made over the years, that accompany his music.
