Because we are at the top. We live in a country that is responsible for ¼ of the entire world's economic output but we're only 4% of the world.

I just think are many things that are good for the individual and society but require that we violate the rules of the free market economy. Art/Music for example. Not everything that is great is commercially successful and not everything that is commercially successful is great. Some industry sectors are so sensitive that you can't just let the market handle it like nuclear energy or medicine which require extremely highly skill and strictly regulation in order to work as safely as they do. Not an advocate for socialism or command economy in any way. I can't think of anything worse than that s***.

I think no matter if you are capitalist or not, we'll ultimately be faced with the question of whether the economy can grow forever and if not what we're going to do when we hit our max. Are we going to stick with capitalism or change to something that helps the economy grow further? How would we keep the money in circulation and prevent any one party from accumulating too much of it? Etc

The "free market" is a bit of a sadomasochist of we're being honest, never takes much before it's violating itself, workers, consumers, or the environment. Why anyone would be so hellbent on gratifying it is beyond me.

My job is very capitalistic (owning & leasing property then charging for its use). I pay people at least $15 an hour to work there.

Despite making a good bit I’m voting Bernie because I would rather see the overall population have better lives. There are plenty of others like myself.
