You know, I'm sure there are many out there that are fans of the Joe Budden Podcast but are you a fan of Joe Budden's music?
"See I'm somethin' like a phenomenon,
Go ahead and judge me, I ain't gotta honor y'all,
S***, I told the judge I'll sit, never mind the bond,
Nigga I won't budge in this b****, it's like I'm a don,
You can't con a con"
Nah I gave it a shot a few years ago when he got smacked up by Raekwon’s weed carriers, out of curiosity.
Never really clicked with me but I’m pretty sure there was a whole budden fan site that was poppin for a minute
He’s a solid rapper. I wouldn’t call myself a fan cuz I never really listened to his albums in full but he had some good tracks
"Though I'm leading I don't really know the path, but the future can't be worse, if you really know my past. Begged to be understood anytime I showed my wrath, But how could I expect third parties to know the half?"
"They said I changed since stardom, can't share the same success, we ain't share the same problems"
"I'm a piece of s***. A product of never being given a piece of s***."
"She said all I ever made her feel was hurt and disgust, which in turn hurt cause that was my version of love"
Man went crazy.
I used to fw his Mood Muzik mixtapes wayyy back in the day but that’s it pretty much.
Haven’t listened to them for years
Edit: Had to go back and check that s*** out after this thread and yeah he was rapping his ass off back then
yes...his music has its faults for sure mostly when it comes to the mixing of some of his earlier projects and certain things he does with his voice but I think he's an incredible writer...clever bars, storytelling skills, a knowledge of the game and still the dude that gave us Pump It Up...I remember seeing MTV cover his "10 Minutes" song on a special back in the day and was hooked on his music after that...then years later came across his Mood Muzik stuff and became a fan all over again
dude has lived a f***ing life...like by the time he dropped his debut album he already went through d*** addiction AND getting stabbed by his baby moms...now almost 20 something years later he's still talked about though not necessarily for music as much as his opinions

this is a good song
his pengame insane
his ability to find good production = nonexistent
remember he called blonde trash? it was at that point it all made sense. the musicality is just not there for bro. which sucks because his pen game is immaculate.
he need the same hit boy stimulus that Nas got
He’s definitely a good rapper but clearly something didn’t work and that’s why he’s a podcast diva today.
No
Budden is a GOAT
That song is kinda wack. Listen to Mood Muzik, Escape Route & A Loose Quarter
I'm a sucker for AraabMuzik production, so I enjoyed the collab album they did together.
Joe Budden loses it at around the 4 minute mark cause AraabMuzik was just f***ing around on the beats. S*** was heat tho.

!https://youtu.be/AYaKYnTXUTkI love Araab too but Joe wasn’t rapping or crafting songs that well for that project. He was way out of his prime by the time they did that
