It just depends on the area you live in, I live in a generally safe area so it's not necessary for me imo. Now if you lived in Florida where a hurricane is about to hit your city, then it'll be helpful to have one. It all depends on the circumstances
People are overly paranoid and are rushing to stock up on weapons, when in reality it's shown to only increase the chances of suicide and domestic violence due to the availability of firearms
