Anti cancel culture/wokeness folk are just as “sensitive” as the woke people they complain about tbh

    AMAN takes lately >>

I judge stuff based off my own morals and the common decency of being a human, cancel culture can sometimes be in the right place but the people within it treat it like a witch hunt it’s weird

  • Jun 20, 2021

Anti fakewoke, you can tell when people are just trying to seem holier than thou and just tryna get the stink off themselves

When it comes to cancel culture I just find it corny tbh, I think digging through people's tweets trying to find something just to f*** up their career is really lame

But when people are genuinely against racism, greed, etc I admire it

    yall just say anything

he's not wrong, there's absolutely no such thing as cancel culture.

jeffrey toobin pulled out his d*** on zoom, he's already back with cnn. kevin spacey got me too'd, didnt even actually deny it, he's already getting acting jobs. if cancel culture was real, those guys wouldn't be back in their respective fields

we simply live in an era of accountability. if you do dumb/creepy s***, you will get called out for it/people will try to hold you accountable for it. that's all it is

the only people that have actually been "canceled" is cosby, robert kelly, and weinstein, and think about the egregiousness of their actions for the vast majority of society to say "fuck those guys"

There’s a clear difference between giving people freedom and making people do something they don’t have any interest in doing, come on now.

depends on how you are defining cancel culture. but its more of a twitter thing then anything else. Just means you are a trending topic for a bad or out of context reason.

Cancelling people is f***ing stupid most of the time. It only matters if the person is actively doing the behavior. Most of the time people just tryna dig up old s*** about people when they clearly don’t behave like that anymore.

Imo there is a level of progressive behavior that becomes toxic and pretentious, especially when trying to talk to people who are trying to learn and understand, yet people still s*** on them.

There’s a difference between being ignorant because you don’t know or understand and people who know better but choose to behave a certain way. In my opinion, that’s a terrible practice to engage in and essentially poisons progressive thinking because it validated conservative rhetoric about the left being “snowflakes” etc.

It just blows my mind that the same people who don’t believe in prison for even murderers and abhorrent humans (aka believe in the power of rehabilitation and more importantly the potential for people to change and become better) are the ones who actively try to strip people’s livelihood and career over a tweet from when they were a teenager

Or who actively try to get people’s college admission revoked for singing along to a rap song and saying the n word

As if college isn’t the place where they’ll finally be exposed to people of different ways of life and not be surrounded by hundreds of similar looking people who all act and think the same way

It’s just propagating a cycle of bitterness that cements the person to never change their view and join the cause
