2015 was a big turning point for the genre. I feel like after 15/16 things started going downhill fast. soundcloud fast food rappers came into the scene, music got watered down hardcore, meme rappers have come and went.
now in 2020 you basically don't even need to be good at anything to become famous. you don't have to be a good singer, writer, rapper, don't need good beats.
you basically just need to be loud and obnoxious and follow whatever trend is going on to catch your 15secs of fame until the next hot song of the week takes your spot..rinse and repeat.
It's just the same threads over and over day in and day out.
In for the same takes.
Oh senpai, hey! I didn't know you walked this way. We're right in front of your house? I-I wasn't looking or anything, I just happened to be walking by! It'd be creepy to know where you live, s-stupid! What was I walking by for? OKAY! I had to give you something! L-listen, Don't get the wrong idea, I was just up at 4 am cooking like schoolgirls do and it happened to be your favorite and I thought maybe you'd like some since I had extra! BE GRATEFUL! UGHHIUGH! Uhh, how did I know it was your favorite? Well I... aaaAAAAAAAHHH!
Not at all. I think that’s about when I started checking out of hip hop honestly
yeah, even if the music I don't like comes from people less talented than the people who made the music I didn't like before
there's enough music I love that's still being made and that's what matters to me. I try my best to ignore the clowns
Rap music sucks now it has no soul or heart, there's no musicianship, just trying to grind out as many tracks as possibl
