Yeah, humans are animals of habit, we get lazy pretty quickly and theres only a few moments nowadays in modern society where you're constantly bombared with new information, noises and trends where we can really reflect upon our situation. It's up to us to create this moments of silent thinking and flee from the cycle.

Do some voluntary work, dunno in a homeless shelter, refugee camp or heck, with street kids, there's no perfect answer for everyone how to escape the mundanity but doing stuff like that can help you get new perspectives and you'll appreciate the moments of fun and the comfortability you have even more.
