yeah cus i was really born in this s*** it’s not a phase or something i started fw when i was a teenager
Ever since I was a little kid and I wasn’t even raised on it, just discovered it myself and via my older brother. This thing a part of me and the genre is alive as ever
Yes. In my 30s & still love it deeply. I am reminded of Chris Rock’s sketch: im in my 40s right, and I still loveeeeee rap music. I LOVE IT
Yes, but I did find that last year I listened to it the least of probably any year of my life. I think I'm just feeling other genres at the moment but of course I will always love hip-hop as it was the first music I ever sought out and consumed independently in my formative years, thus becoming extremely influential on my identity and overall music taste.
Yeah no matter what I am

hip-hop is the first music i loved and i will forever associate parts of my life with certain hip-hop albums. those ties can never be broken even if hip-hop becomes garbage, even if the indian rap pages win and it becomes a neo nazi BJP operation, even if melz type artists dominate the genre, even if the JDPON forbids white ears from listening, im too tied up in it to ever leave
yeah, i am. i enjoy lots of new artists/releases. it just feels like everyone's "vibing" though.
yes but there is nothing interesting going on rn mainstream/culture wise outside of carti for me

from lil baby to travis and especially this 21 savage, none of what they are saying or trying to market has a genuine impact anymore
i’m just listening to the lowkey artist who keeping this s*** fun and authentic
