Yes car soap because it won't strip the wax or synthetic you apply

You only use dish soap if the car is FILTHY

It’s cheap. A big bottle of meguires cost me like $7 at Walmart. They have cheaper brands too.
Just use clean rags and don’t reuse dirty ones or they’ll scratch your paint job. If you wash your rags don’t put fabric softener
