Yeah. Starts off a bit slow but the last 45 to an hour is genuine insanity. Joaquin is incredible

very funny movie. had the subtlety of a South Park episode. had nothing new to say about anything and the political talking points were mainly centered around white guilt, thought the movie was gonna end 3 different times before it finally did. still very funny

If the movie had fully leaned into the satire/black comedy and played similar to something like Burn After Reading I think it could’ve been great. It is at times hilarious. But Ari Aster cannot play it straight. The second half (which I thought was going to be the third act but turned into a full half of the movie) is a mess. Way over stuffed. Throwing everything into the pot. The climax actively pissed me off as it was happening.

There’s also no reason this movie should be two and a half hours. Cut the entire Emma Stone plot line as it did not work for me. Cut the militarized terrorist cell. There’s a really, really good movie in here that needed steadier hands.

  • Is this on streaming at all? Not avail til August in 🇦🇺 🥱

Never expected Ari Aster to make a (somewhat) serious version of Postal 2, but here we are. I enjoyed it even though this is definitely his weakest amongst his filmography

  • 9/10.

    why is pedro pascal everywhere

I kinda expected him to be after I saw him in Game Of Thrones but it took several more years for him to really blow up. Can't say I've liked anything he's done since then as much as his GOT role. Didn't see Narcos or Last Of Us tho.
