What an experience
I saw Hereditary last night and I think the ending is one of the best

this movie is imperfect in so many different ways but the shock value, aesthetic, score, and final shot literally make this one of my favorite movies of the year/decade.

i also stan ari aster pretty hard so im biased haha. hereditary and his short film something strange about the johnsons exemplify my ideal film experience.

I liked this movie overall but I reeeeaaaalllyyy didn’t like the character selection. From the get go you have an idea they’re all going to be offed purely based on their characteristics. It didn’t feel like there was much going on with them beyond surface value and things just happened because they were going to happen.
