i feel bad for her because i get where she's coming from. she felt like she created music which was made out of her own experiences for people coming from a certain background and held importance, and here comes some pop darling with a PR machine behind her making pop sensible music who wins instead. especially at an awards show like soul train which has such historic importance for that type of music i get it.
