TUN is the worst out of her 3 album run and this album is filled with generic drum patterns and trap drums lmao, it isn’t surprising this site likes it—TUN suffered from the same issue although she executed it way better on there

In what world. 90% of the songwriting and hooks on Thank U Next are top notch. There's a reason like every song has 300m streams on Spotify vs her other albums

Really not a fan of this album. I love most of her albums but I struggle to find anything that stands out on this one..

songwriting like what lol? she’s never been considered a strong songwriter (if you mean lyrically) at all, she shines with her vocal arrangements, harmonies etc. and making bops, imagine and in my head are probably among some of her songs with the most “depth” to them but that’s a pretty low bar

TUN isn’t a bad album but Positions and Sweetener blow it out of the water production wise and the hooks on those albums are just as strong (really stronger imho) as they are on TUN and also actually possess variety soundwise versus TUN containing some outright pop&b songs and then the rest is generic trap-pop territory with songs like break up with your girlfriend im bored, bloodline, and 7 rings (even if i like that song 💀)

like im not even tryna hear TUN is her best because this site did the same s*** when they discovered Twigs the first time with CAPRISONGS, yet another album where the artist waters down their sound to something generic and accessible the woman dropped LP1 and MAGDALENE which are absolutely masterful projects and they largely went under the radar for this site’s userbase

True Story is somewhat close to the music I like from her, definitely not a bad song. But I think my problem is that I am used to have several songs on her albums that I absolutely love and I dont have that feeling on this one.

Supernatural and True Story are the closest things to that on this album
