The Darkest Angelif this is true why hasn't she reached the same level of success despite being only 3 years younger and having a Nickelodeon boost? Even if we compare Taylor at 27 to Arianna now she's not close.
I actually think Taylor is the best all around artist out rn. It's everything from the small fan interactions to the big tours, documentaries and live performances that have brought in the dedicated fans she has now.
I don't know too much about Arianna other than the Dangerous Woman song, her donut fetish and her American xenophobia.
That's like saying why hasn't JID reached the same success as Joey Badass. Success doesn't always correlate to quality. Taylor has always been able to market her music to a specific wide audience more than Ariana has.
Ariana's music is more mature and relatable to me at least. More R&b than taylor is. And I prefer that

Ariana has a better voice. Taylor is a better songwriter though. I generally like Taylor’s music better. Both are good performers. Ariana will never outsell her though. I don’t think any female artist besides Adele will be able to outsell Taylor.
