You made the best Ariel Pink docuessay on YouTube - from chronicling Ariel's upbringing and the importance of the haunted graffiti series being made when it was to the importance of Before Today in both Ariel's career and indie rock - and what made it the best one is how you included your own personal experiences with Ariel and his work. Since Ariel's new career as a part-time alt-right conspiracy theorist no one has really chronicled their thoughts from 10+ years ago about the edgelord s*** he started to say. Neither has anyone really said what it felt like coming of age as an Ariel fan AS the haunted graffiti's were coming out - both stories I didn't know I needed. I loved the dive into Ariel's psyche, especially the part about an innate need to be a contrarian from feeling antagonized by the world (i have the same trait lol). I thought the point about him needing to identify with his bullies to resolved childhood trauma was really poignant as well. Top tier work, must-watch for any fan

But yeah blue oyster cult cover at the end is super tight with those over compressed drums.
