I just find it noticeable that there’s nothing like a NYC Tapwater or Lead Paint Test on the back half of this album; and while there’s plenty of bars one can point to and draw connections WRT the perils/anxieties of fatherhood, I wouldn’t say that’s especially obvious on the surface

From Maps-onward I feel like you’re good for at least one “well, I may be jaded as hell but goddamn if I don’t love this city/my family 🥹” track from these two, but Mercy lacks it
