I'm enjoying the Arsenal - Özil PR battle, I just wish it wasn't at the cost of 350k a week & freezing a player out.

I think if glazers/woodward did the same cutting of jobs, they'd actually need to go into witness protection. im surprised the reaction to what kroenke/team did hasn't been more negative all summer.

I remember reading Arsenal employed a lot more staff than other top 6 clubs. If there was any validity to that, I understand the lay offs even though of course you'd rather not see it, especially not during a period like this. Sacking the mascot had me perplexed though, can't imagine that man is on much money either.

Beyond excited that we got Partey on the last day. He’s gonna be a feat addition to the squad.

This isn’t too bad. And we have some solid rotation options such as Nketiah, Ainsley, Lacazette, Martinelli, etc.

Ozil, Mustafi, Sokratis and Luiz are all on their last year of their contract. That should free up a lot of wages.

Next summer, we should get 1-2 central defenders, a right back (do we trust Cedric as Bellerin’s backup?), a creative midfield player (hopefully we can go again for Aouar), and if Ceballos has a good year this season we should make his deal permanent.

Things are looking good for us. Let’s go gunners!
