yeah, luckily him and rice didn't get booked so they're available for the next game. honestly i'm not sure if havertz really dives or if he unironically just tumbles a bit, but he needs to stop calling for pens whatever it is he does

arteta made a mistake putting jorginho in midfield because they got blitzed by gnabry and sane. completely nullified. zinchenko in midfield unironically stabilized the game a bit, and i'm not particularly fond of his game

Davies missing the next leg is big too.

I don't think Jorginho is Arteta's first choice, but I imagine he wanted Havertz' build to lead the line, Partey not fully fit yet to start along Rice in that case and Elneny is obviously occupied with Elneny FC. Jorg is great for a game where we're gonna dominate, but outside of that he's not ideal.

I hope we can get Tomi in at LB next week. Kiwi not ready yet for this level & Zinny just has quite a few head scratching moments per game now

Jorg is great for a game where we're gonna dominate, but outside of that he's not ideal.

really bang on about jorginho. if he was 3-4 years younger, he'd be game for it but he isn't. his decision making is top notch but he really doesn't have the fitness for a high octane game like this

i'm so disappointed that arteta hasn't tried zinchenko properly in midfield. he should've done that against luton, putting rice in the middle and zinchenko as LCM with kiwi as the LB.

otherwise he has no future at the club, because we got timber, tomi and kiwior (in that order)

and yeah, davies is gone, but sane will definitely play 90 minutes next game because they can afford to rotate and rest their players since the league is gone. pavlovic will be back by next week too.

i'm not gonna take a dig at 'nelli, but he hasn't played well since his foot injury. in general that left side has just lacking tbh. got better with jesus on.

Yeah I'm curious how Zinchenko's future will play out. I think Timber was signed to play flexibly across the back line with left back as priority position, but obviously we have not been able to see that happen.

Tomi is ahead of him in the pecking order too, but is that man gonna stay fit? If he was, I'd think we would see the last of Zinchenko this season. But now it's tough to say. I think we'll see a little midfield strengthening too this summer, so Zin would be nothing more than depth next season.

If Partey goes, I hope we can get someone to replace his vertical balls because his ability to break the lines is something I'm missing currently.

Would love to see Jesus used a little more on the flanks too, especially if we sign a striker in the summer.
