R&B songtress from Cleveland, Ohio. The artist has been in the game for the last 4 years. She appears to be independent from what I gathered. Although I did notice that she may be on a label known as Artist Partner Group. That could be a distribution deal but who knows. She also got that Wale cosign too
Anyways, she had a song that went viral back in 2020 known as "Options" and had a resurgence on Tik Tok from Late 2022 - Spring 2023. The song is about an ultimatum. If her man messes up, she got options and "find a breh much bigger" lol:
Other than that, I feel that the song doesn't truly represent her sound. The vocals have a tough as leather yet sweet as brown sugar texture that evokes a journeyful soul. Contralto esque. Her lyrics are more focused on self love, reflections, and empowerment. It definitely has a Gen Z ghetto fabolous appeal which echoes Summer Walker and Keyshia Cole. However, her delivery skews more positive and uplifting that harkens back to artists such as Lauryn Hill. An element in her sound that at first seems toxic but underneath is an artist who is focused on letting go and being the bigger person. This is displayed in her album that was released earlier this year (Februrary 2023) called From Me To Me. Some tracks below:
