For me personally, I hated NWTS at first, being such a different departure from TC but eventually it became my favorite album of all time.
Same for WLR, I think I was expecting something different after years of binging his sound cloud leaks and fan made compilations. But after looking at it with a fresh pair of eyes (ears), It easily is in my top 10 of all time.
Any that you hated on the first listen?
I remember I didn’t really like The Weeknd after listening to BBTM and Starboy but I then sat down and listened to HOB for the first time and wow
I didn’t like Chance for the longest time but Coloring Book clicked on day and I’ve been a fan since. Still believe his next project will bring him back
If I dislike something, I’m usually right and never return to it.

real
Blonde
Been listening to it a lot recently and I appreciate it more now
Can't wait for Frank's next project
I think When I Get Home is the biggest one for me. I thought it was pretentious bullshit coming off of ASATT but now I like it better than that album and it eventually became one of my favorite albums of all-time.
Other ones worth pointing out:
Testing
808s
Save Me
MOTM 1 and 2
TLOP

I disagree. I’ve been really into music my entire life and can comfortably tell if I’ll ever learn to like something upon an initial listen if that something doesn’t click right away. I know what I like and what I don’t.

The opposite happens where I like something and then later dislike it, but basically this. I never end up liking an album I initially disliked.
My Turn
Same, didn’t like baby at first but I’ve come around. I think he still has room to improve
808s & Heartbreak
When i got older a lot of the project made sense
Think it was because it was so different from his privous album or did you just have life experiences that made you view it differently?

Seems like coloring book was probably his most accessible right? I couldn’t get past his voice on the first projects

Exactly right. I remember getting into heated discussions with friends due to people saying it was better than Views so I always held some unwarranted resentment towards it. After I got into it I revisited Acid Rap and absolutely loved it
