    incentivizes album sales.

would create a golden age for remixes--if you're influential enough they're gonna find the drums and sounds you/your producers are using anyway.

didn't even think about how dope it would be for sampling

Corporations need to protect their extremely important Intellectual Property from the evil sampling that steals their copyright money !

its funny tho, the music would have so much more longevity--more potential profit for them if their song is sampled.

tik tok is basically half remixes anyway and producers like blaccmass are able to extend a song's lifespan or even repopularize them.

it would definitely be cool but there’s no way artists are just gonna give away their stems

corporations are run by people with no grasp on how the real world works, there's a reason they're chock full of a******s

mm hope the stem player can open the music industry up to the idea. maybe kanye only has that kind of freedom cause of his wealth, but if any of the big players follow a similar trend maybe it could start a wave

  • a lot of artists are so overbearingly perfectionist control freaks that the thought of their isolated vocal takes being out there to be mixed into edm remixes n stuff is too cringe inducing to bear the thought of like actually encouraging somewhat so yeah but anyways this is a long ass sentence lets keep it going what yall have for lunch

    whats stem?

stems are each isolated element of a song. in the production process they are assembled together to create the full track

he's sick af, remember when he was doing kanye remixes on soundcloud and they'd always get taken down

i feel like I've seen him on KTT before so we got extra luv for you if you read this

  • I'd charge a lot of money for an album including the stems.

I hope he comes around sometime, I enjoy some of his remixes more than the originals

this would incentivize a tiny portion of people and labels probably don't want people making unofficial remixes n s*** so never gonna happen

Only the boldest would do this.

No way anyone wants to risk being upstaged on their own tracks.

This would be revolutionary tho. Could sell it like a special edition physical or something.
