sort of. definitely in terms of the music itself. in some ways tho, his very first albums were a lot more boundary-pushing and exciting than his current output.

i was a lot more excited & hyped for a follow-up to goblin or cherry bomb than I am to a follow-up for CMIYGL

Horrible opinion lol he’s the best he’s ever been and I’ve been a fan since the beginning. I’ve grown up with his music and I love the artist he’s becoming. Whatever comes next will definitely crown him as a top star in the genre if this album hasn’t already. He had a better album than the people that are dubbed as the top 2 artists (Cole & Drake) It’s definitely time to put Tyler in that league.

i'm not disagreeing with you. he is musically the best he's ever been.

i'm just not as excited about him as you because i'm not feeling what he has to say anymore. topically, flower boy was his peak, after that whatever he's been saying on the mic just feels like lesser versions of that (few exceptions aside)

that's just my personal opinion. horrible as it might be

i'm just saying that its unfair to call him a "late bloomer" since his early discography is about as promising as it can get without being actually brilliant straight out the gate.

    Freddie Gibbs

ive barely heard any of his earliest stuff ngl but seems generally agreed he didnt really hit his stride until he was like 30

besides Pinata and Cold Day in Hell his earlier stuff doesn't do anything for me, but the last 5 or so years he's been on a roll so I agree
