but my god some of the worst songs of his career is on that joint
don’t blame abel for most of his creative decisions. he got serious pressure on him since the beginning of his career
the way he balances the “let’s get this on billboard” pop thing with genuinely great songwriting is probably the best you’ll ever get out of this generation.
but i ever since BBTM it’s hard not to feel like he’s more focused on playing a game rather than making art. fine by me, but it’s weird to expect people to hail products as great art

NoirThat album is priceless to me. I was getting off Lexapro when it dropped and the sheer happiness of that album carried my ass.
Because I'm Me, Subways, Colours, just amazing songs
I can't lie man that album's brought me to tears on multiple occasions just from the sheer joy of it
Like it feels like it comes from a place of pure love, no ego involved at all, this real sincere feeling that the music was made to make people feel better, reminds me of Brian Wilson saying he wanted Pet Sounds to make people feel loved. It's something you don't often see in music and I'm so glad that The Avalanches keep doing it, genuinely love those guys, can't express how much their music means to me
