    “nearly 10 years”

    didn’t realize 2019-2013 (arguably 2019-2015) was nearly 10

    but i get your point

Gained traction in 11 “album dropped” in 19

Uh he gained traction in 11 and his debut was 19.

He didn’t “gain traction” until Lifestyle
You’re out of your mind if you think he was remotely known before then

he didn’t gain traction in 2011, that was the year he dropped his first mixtape lol he was still a not very well known local artist back then. Gucci signed him in 2012 just bc Peewee Longway was his friend, and he dropped 2 Cups Stuffed, his first semi-big single, at the top of 2013. Stoner & Danny Glover blew up towards the end of 2013. Lifestyle blew up in 2014. at best, you could say he began getting popular in 2013

    Nipsey :(

    Damn that’s fkd

Even with him tho didn’t he have projects for sale and on DSPs? How was VL his debut?

Amazing album btw so sad we’ll probably never hear another album from him. Pop smoke, juice WRLD. Xxx and Mac Miller all dropped shortly after death. No new Nipsey leads me to think there is none

So it’s literally just semantics/ word games?

So there’s no real difference between B6 and so much fun. Both had original music and were for sale. Ones an album ones a tape

I think budgeting, marketing, promotion, contractual obligations and percentage splits all play some type of a difference in the way major labels now differentiate from albums and paid-for mixtapes

Thug has multiple albums (B6, Jeffery, BTG), it's just a marketing tactic calling it otherwise IMO
