KTT was loving Logic’s album but don’t wanna acknowledge it in these best rap albums of 2020 threads, don’t think we forgot.

Oh your the dude that posted 20 curren$y tapes. I used to fw him heavy but I think his sound is too played out. Harry fraud is amazing tho. For the average rap fan I’d say it was definitely a good year tho

Conway, Benny, Westside Gunn, Boldy James all dropped great projects.. some of them more than one.

Young Dolph dropped a fire album same with Key Glock

Freddie Gibbs album was amazing too

So Icy Gang Vol. 1 with Gucci was fantastic

But yeah I'm a huge Spitta fan. Ever since I heard him on the 504 Boyz album in like 02 or 03 (my older cousin put me on). Then again on Tha Carter II. He's been one of my all time favourites.

It’s not cool to praise Logic on the internet so they won’t stand behind liking it

  • Nov 6, 2020

whole lot of mid in that op

  • Nov 6, 2020

while I agree, there's maybe 3 good projects in the op lmao

  • Nov 6, 2020

not my kind of list but I listened to EA and MTW2 religiously this year

What would u have liked to see get released for it to be a good year?

A few great albums and a lot of good albums

For example 2015 was a great year

If wunna is your proof of a great year in hip hop it isn't a good year in hip hop

And wunna is probably in my top 5 hip hop releases of the year...

  • I think y’all r confused, when I say it was a good year for hip hop im talking about the quantity of music dropped. I’m not saying each album i listed is top tier but we still had a lot of stuff to listen to by some talented artists.

  • Nov 6, 2020

A lot of fast food in OP

I never said it was a great year. I said it was good. Either way it’s a fact we got a lot of projects to listen to. They may not be for everyone but we still got them.

Kanye, Cudi, Kendrick, Tyler, Earl, Travis, Rocky dropping would be cool

Uzi dropping was the closest but I think his 2016-2017 s*** was way better

  • Nov 6, 2020

What I heard from your list:

Savage Mode 2 - dark, hard, dope s***
Eternal Atake & LUV2 - hit or miss
Dark Lane Demo Tapes - I like Chicago Freestyle
My Turn - I get why KTT likes it, I just think Lil Baby is boring
    High Off Life - boring

I never listened to any Griselda albums

  • Nov 6, 2020

Disappointing for me, especially a written testimony

  • Nov 6, 2020

    So much death in rap.

We lost so many great ones and upcoming rappers.

This year is a L in a whole.

  • Nov 6, 2020

Dark To Light kinda fire tho

    Lil Wayne - Funeral
    Young Nudy - Anyways

Thundercat - It Is What It Is
Boldy James - Price Of Tea In China
    Future - High Off Life
    Gunna - Wunna
    Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo
Pop Smoke - Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon
    Khruangbin - Mordechai
    Sahbabii - Barnacles
    Young Dolph - Rich Slave
Sada Baby - Bartier Bounty 2

    NAV - Emergency Tsunami

Pretty much what I’ve taken from this year

  • Nov 6, 2020

Other rap I listened too this year:

    Alfredo - it’s good
Weight of the world - probably the best rap I heard this year
Bladee and Yung Lean albums - those were cool
    Heaven or Hell - disappointing
Unlocked - cute and the music video was cool
Now More Than Ever - underrated EP idk why people don’t talk about Flatbush Zombies anymore
Shoot for the stars aim for the moon - had a few hits but I don’t play it in full
Legends Never Die - not as good as the first two Juice Albums
Jackboys - GATTI was amazing Out West was good the rest was eeh

I agree with most but Kanye unfortunately probably would’ve dropped another steaming load of gospel s***. Earl sweatshirt I could do without too.
