I find that at 23-24 i pretty much don't follow what's "hip" at this point and will wear whatever has a correct color combo if I'm going out, or if I'm at home I'll just wear whatever since nobody really sees me.
Just curious if you guys are around my age and dont care about trends/looking fly all the time. Also at this point j find even know what's popular either for young people trends sand don't really care.
At the point where I don't care about bands since most are all built on the same factory.
You're thinking the right way but your wording is wrong
We def care about how we dress in a sense that I do want to dress well but I've been caring less and less about trying to dress a certain way only to impress ppl
I'm 26 and last 2 years or so my closet has changed dramatically
it's not that i stopped caring it's more so the process of falling deeper into myself and what i f*** with, but I've always gotten what I've liked vs getting something everyone else had gotten.
People assume that because you don't dress to appeal to others that you just don't care which is wrong. Like the others in here you just care more and more about what appeals to you and your own personal style. You stop dressing like a extra and start dressing like the main character in the movie thats your life.
I've found that I like nice/designer/expensive clothes to just look at like its art but don't care about wearing nice clothes at all. All I care about is comfort.
Highkey a lot of high fashion designers be dressing mad regular/plain. Its like they know its a scam and just care about designing it and selling product.
Don't get high off your own supply kind of thing.
Nah man i so care,i don't care about following the trend but i do watch runways and s*** and whatever i like i incorporate in ma style really
Couldn't think about a day id go outside and not care what am wearing lmao
nah fashion will always be a part of my identity and personality, we all have passions about certain stuff. but as you get older it’s more about dressing for yourself rather than other people. ain’t tryna impress nobody but myself at 23.i don’t really wear brand name stuff anymore either

This is a beautiful, and very underrated, post
White Collar working 6 days out of the week you're just gonna have less freedom and incentive to style
I'm still gonna try to add my own to it and have some wears for a weekend out or date but its a pretty small part of life now
s*** by sophomore year of college spring semester I was so into studies/professional development I was wearing the same outfit most of the week
contrast to freshmen year people would always compliment my outfits
as you grow older and have kids and s***, dressing up to par becomes pricey..
My bro’s drip dried up as soon as he had his second kid
When I started smoking weed I completely gave up on how I looked and even stopped doing my hair
But yes
it's not that i stopped caring it's more so the process of falling deeper into myself and what i f*** with, but I've always gotten what I've liked vs getting something everyone else had gotten.
