One of these days, y'all are gonna have to honestly debate whether or not Rocky was always more aesthetic than artist this entire time, and that his mixtape and second album were lightning in a bottle moments.

I liked some of the songs on Testing btw.

the dummy songs were supposed to be a pastiche of the low budget soundcloud rapper sound that was prominent during 2016-2018. that's why they sound cheaply produced and badly mixed. it was an interesting experiment but the issue is he came back with those songs after a three year hiatus and it sounded like he completely forgot how to make good music. they're basically the entire reason why testing performed so badly, his hype died after he put out those songs.

Rocky is dope artist, he just needs to find his direction again. Yall going way too hard on him when Testing wasnt actually a terrible album, it just didnt match the high ass expectations ppl had
