Do ppl actually believe j cole is a better rapper than Rocky I don’t even think I’d agree with that
Hard to do this when Rocky has half as many projects in a similar time
You had to put one Rocky project up against 2 Cole ones twice and still couldn’t get to present day Cole lol
I know it’s quality over quantity but we might have to start taking quantity into account more
Cole albums aren’t perfect but at least he puts out work consistently. His discography in about a decade is double what Rocky and Kendrick have put out. Going through his discography is a journey and comparatively it feels like Rocky and Kendrick are still new artists without much music out
At least Kendrick stuff is arguably better but Rocky is at a similar artistic level as Cole, his albums haven’t been perfect either it comes down to preference but Cole has a more significant catalogue
Nothing like a good ole KTT circle jerk.
Y’all like can like Rocky all you want, but Cole is the people’s champ
Id say yea but i think their fairly even between live love and fhd being classics
Then born sinner, fnl, alla being considered pretty good albums
Testing is good too but the public wasn’t smart enough for it
You’re missing a Cole label mixtape, another label album and 3 EPs if you’re doing it like that so the gap is bigger than that
But I feel like including all those group projects that they’re barely even on is kind of a waste and that’s the only way you can make Rocky and Kendrick’s catalogue bigger.
Realistically Cole has 6 albums to Kendrick’s 4 and Rocky’s 3 both are lazy with music. Rocky’s only essential project is the mixtape
ALLA better then forest hills drive
I prefer ALLA but FHD carries more depth imo. It was the J Cole album everyone wanted and he delivered 10x
ALLA is an arthouse masterpiece imo. Rocky found his lane and was surrounded by the right crew to bring us that experience. He really moved into a Brand similar to Kanye, Drake etc. than just another artist.
J. Cole is more consistent with his projects tbh. Rocky could have been better than Cole but he just isn't as consistent since his projects are packed with mid.

Does history care about consistency or greatness?

Rocky isn't greater than Cole, ain't no way. I love Rocky but he has disappointed way too much. He's slightly above Big Sean.
