When Kendrick ends up never getting sued then what does that line end up meaning? Just wishful thinking?
If UMG decides to sue Kendrick then that’s on them. Not Drake. That just would mean that there’s some basis for and that connection was made way before any petition was filed (conflicting interest, etc.).
As for the bar, nah I don’t think it’ll be known for wishful thinking… but I’m not sure how else that bar is supposed to be interpreted?

In my opinion, that’s where Drake f***ed up more than anything. He left the angle unchallenged for all those years.

Im not rationalizing anything. It’s just the truth. Drake sued UMG directly for promotion of a nasty accusation against him. Whatever happens after that is out of drakes hands.. that’s literally how I interpreted the “you should keep the paper” bar.
