I mean I wouldnt really have any problem with him if he organically just attired people thru the fact that he was white or something but that's not his case lol.

Mans was purposely discovered by his agent because they were looking to tap into the white audience and they felt like a black artist couldn't do it lol. He wasnt picked because he was a good rapper who was also white, he was picked because he was a white rapper who was also good on the side. His manager was talking about it lol

You remember on what? I always felt the only reason he got attention was because he was the white college educated harmless weed smoker but I didn’t think anyone from the business side would say it was his selling point.

It really surprised me that he really gave no f***s about respecting the culture and just told it like it is lol

I suspect ppl like Post and Iggy were chosen for the same reason but the business people never said anything about it and will never so I cant really judge them the same way I judge Asher bc I ultimately dont know u feel me

Well I don’t think that lands on Asher as much as Scooter tbh. Asher trying to be something he’s not is worse than him just accepting who he is which just so happened to be the more marketable for him. Iggy and Post got in the game using stereotypes and hip hop when one wanted to be a pop star and the other was making country or some bull s***. Scooter definitely doesn’t give a f*** about the culture but when you consider how he found Asher Roth, he kinda stopped Asher from trying to use stereotypes of what a rapper (an “urban” kid) is supposed to be to get in.

I understand what you’re saying but this current Asher isn’t signed to Scooter and hasn’t been for 8-9yrs. Asher respects the game and has been collaborating with producers like Nottz and Chuck Inglish. I think if you listened to some of Retrohash you’d like it.

It isn't exactly Spring yet but you feel it coming. Like many others who deal with the change in seasons, I typically get more excited as the weather warms up. It helps that I'll be releasing a NEW ALBUM! We'll start the roll out towards the end of the month (psst...March 25th). There will be plenty of announcements like album title & release date, digital listening party invites, as well as fun collaborations along the way.

Sounds like new info will be coming towards the end of March. Hype!
