This is true. We're an extremely divided race. We still hold grudges on each other for political BS that happened generations ago. The ones who weren't born and raised here in the West, especially, consider themselves as their ethnicity first and foremost, not "Asian." They don't see themselves as the same as other Asian ethnic groups.

Thus, there's a lack of activism in the Asian-American community. Generally, the idea of standing up for "Asian Americans" isn't even a thought to a lot of us because we're more concerned with our own families. Racial pride isn't even a thing for a lot of Asians. For instance, I'd tell my mom about how Asian celebrity's accomplishments and she wouldn't even care, saying, "Worry about your own stuff first." They don't see it as anything important, so of course they're not going to care about standing up for other races either.

I hope my generation and future generations of Asian Americans will start carrying more about activism because that stuff does matter.

Koreans and Japanese people still have bad blood, especially older generations.
