To me, it’s exploring the myths of various religions and regions of the world and connecting those to the Isu.
Origins was the last game that was TRULY about the creed tho.

In hindsight, AC1 was kinda bs. Mfs literally chose the most controversial & evil moment in Christian inquisition-crusader history and somehow made the Muslims look like the big bads (Al-Mualim, Altair being a non-believer, calling the game setting area “The Levant” instead of Palestine, even though maps from that time period all said that, etc).
Somebody comes to your country trying to take over, no s*** you’re going to fight back. But they made it sound like:

how different would a ac in bagdad be from the egypt one tho?
I really wonder because to me the setting might be very similiar feeling. Although Bagdad might be further into the time than origins.

Rome is definitely the coolest setting still.
I’m just taking into account the plot and the characters themselves. Bayek is easily my favorite protagonist and I think the plot in Origins is perfection. Ezio and Edward are cool but not nearly as good.
Feel like people have a very strong Ezio bias just because he got a full trilogy and those were like the best games in the world during that time.

hmm i played origins a few hours but the plot was not really it for me and I was excited by the egypt setting and history. Really was bored by the beginning when normally the begin of a AC game is the most hype. Although except the first 10 mins.

Damn, you never finished it? That’s probably my favorite single player game ever.
You should definitely go back to it. I mostly play these games because I like the stories they tell so we might play them for different reasons. Either way, it’s a must-play

Go back to the original combat but refine it a lot more. Honestly if they just rip off Arkham knight combat, that should work

agree on italy being the best setting thus far
the culture, layout and environment have never been matched or topped imo
still don't understand how we haven't gotten japan yet in this franchise. ghost of tsushima felt like a better ac game than odyssey imo
