I was at a kabob bazaar yesterday that I usually go to and like their food a lot. Yesterday I had a waiter who ive never seen before and he wasn't speaking in very coherent English.

First I asked for lemonade and got cranberry juice (with ice in it) and then he gave me hummus even though I asked for baba ganoush. Didn't really care tho just went along with it and assumed that maybe he was new or didn't hear me.

Then I got my entree which was a lamb and chicken kabob plate with rice/salad veggies. He asked "can I help anyting else?" And I asked "sure could I get some black pepper?". dawg looks at me and goes "it's in the window!". I look over and say "no, black pepper like and did a shake with my fist".

This when it gets weird. He was smiling and then frowns and goes "no you son of a B****! It's in ja window!!" And Im like wtf? Literally nobody in the restaurant heard this guy yelling at me too as I'm on the second floor all alone lol

I just get up, shake my head, and then walk off kind of freaked out while this a****** waiter is yapping on angrily like "over here f*** you! Waste my time!". Walked out the restaurant without paying cuz f*** that

Did I handle this correctly? Is there some cultural barrier that I'm not understanding?

There's a lot of countries that don't tip also Africa is a continent
